| Sarcom Inc., has developed a truly diverse global network of suppliers and customers since its founding in 1982. A great deal of our growth was based upon the acquisition of other companies. In 1983 The Floralac Company, a brokerage firm for shellac and gums was purchased. AEP COLLOIDS was acquired in 1984...that company brought strong European and North African suppliers of food ingredients into our group. 1996 saw us uniting with Perny Inc., adding a broader base to our ingredient business. In 2001, H.W. Galland was acquired to fill out our Shellac business. Sarcom Inc., handled over $40 million in merchandise and brokerage transactions in 2002 from all three of our offices, to industries as diverse as flavors and fragrances to paints and coatings. The future, we anticipate, will yield a significant increase in sales due to us establishing our distribution channels throughout China. We also have a new addition, which should allow us to increase our sales, and that is our first manufacturing facility in Yunnan Province. |
